Link building is to build links (backlinks to be more specific) from other websites to your website. If you know a little bit about search engine optimization (SEO), you must know that link building is an essential and important part of your SEO plan. Without a sound link building strategy, it will be difficult to improve your Google Page Rank (PR) and dominate Google 1st page for your desired keywords. There are many link building services on the market at different price levels. Some may work for a while and some may get you into trouble. I would like to share my link building tips with you.
- Link building tip #1 – Do your link building from higher Page Rank and higher traffic sites on similar subjects as yours. If your site is about cooking, you will want to link to similar cooking sites and skip over the opportunity to link to a site that is about auto repair. Because that link will not help you with your ranking. However a link to a site about vintage recipes would be a valuable link. Here is a list of 500 high pagerank websites for link building.
- Link building tip #2 – Do link building from as many relevant websites as possible. Search engines would rather to see your links from many different websites than find many links from the same websites.
- Link building tip #3 – Do link building by leaving comments on popular blog sites. Many popular blog posts with high Page Rank of 4 or 5 are still accepting comments. Just make sure your comments are sincere, meaningful and relevant so that they will be approved.
- Link building tip #4 – Do link building using article submission. Submit your articles to popular articles sites such as ezinearticles.com, articlecity.com, ehow.com, etc. to build anchored text links. This is the most effective way to build solid links to your website.
- Link building tip #5 – Do link building slowly and over time manually. Set up a daily goal of link building. For example, 10 or 20 links. Stick to the goal and you will see good results as time goes on.
It’s really not the number of links to your site but the quality of links counts toward your site’s ranking. Start your link building today, do it slowly and wisely and in the end your site will be the shining star that you are looking for and have the ranking that you want to achieve. Always remember that slow and steady link building does win the race.
