In Blogging Tips

Writing blogs on a regular basis is an effective way to keep your readers engaged and improve the ranking of your website.  Because people like to read the most recent blogs on a topic and Google favors fresh original content.  For online marketers with busy schedules or full-time jobs, writing blogs fast is critical to your online success.  However, many people do not know what to write or have a hard time to focus.  j6design.com.au has created an inforgraphic with 8 great tips for how to start writing blogs fast.

I especially like the tip of keeping a list of topics you are going to write. It is hard to start writing from scratch if you have no idea what to write. Therefore, it is very helpful to keep a topic list whenever you come across any idea that can be turned into a blog post.  For example, I use Google Reader to keep myself updated on what’s going on in the field of online marketing.   I constantly get new ideas from reading other people’s articles or books.  Here are more Ideas of Creating Fresh Content For Your New Blog Site.

I have a secret to writing blogs easily.  When I have a topic to write, I normally create a new word document.  I save it on my desktop so that it is on my ToDo list.  I will write down the headline and keyword(s) to be used.  I also include a couple of reference sites for this topic.  In this way, when I start to write, I have almost everything I need available.  It greatly reduces the time I spend writing a blog.

Being focused is one of the most important factors to a successful online business.  When you start to write a blog, make sure you remove all distractions and keep a block of uninterrupted time for writing.   Let’s say 1.5 or 2 hours.   Don’t check your email, update your social status or answer your phone calls.  If you find yourself hard to settle down, you can start by watching a couple of short inspirational videos to get you inspired to start your writing.

When you start writing blogs, write as if you are talking to a friend.  Don’t edit, just let your thoughts flow and write down anything that comes into your mind.  You can verify some facts or statistics used in the blog post after you finish the 1st draft.

I am sure you will feel a sense of great accomplishment when you have finished writing a blog post.  Give yourself a high five!  The next thing you need to do is to keep the momentum going by scheduling your next blog post.  Make writing blogs a routine and a habit.   Keep doing it and you will see great results before long.  Welcome to share your tips for writing blogs in the comment area.

    Mary,
I agree with your suggestion to shut the door and lock myself in till the page is typed and done. But how many times in a week can you find an hour to spare for a blog? My favourite time is to go to the local library on a Sunday afternoon and do it then. Especially in the quiet studying zone, Thanks for the tips!

If you’ve ever stared at a blank computer screen without a single word coming to mind, help has arrived. There are lots of easy ways to speed up your writing, while at the same time making the quality of your writing improve. The first thing I like to do is come up with a list of my keywords. There are a number of great software programs that will help you find hundreds of long tail keywords and niches related to your topic, but if you are just getting started, go to Google and use their AdWords selection tool and Google Suggests tool. Either of those tools should get you started with a list of possible keywords.
